Southeast Europe: A Cultural Journey 2010

Prilagođeno za štampanjePošalji prijatelju

Some of Southeast Europe’s most exciting creative talents in the fields of music, film, literature and gastronomy will participate in the Cultural Journey in the Netherlands and Belgium. You have the chance to experience them live in

Rotterdam (1–3 June), Amsterdam (4–6 June), Gent (23–25 June) and Antwerp (25–27 June)

A whole range of Balkan musicians will perform at events in the Netherlands, including the outrageously inventive Rambo Amadeus (born in Montenegro, lives in Serbia), high-energy global-fusion band Mala Vita (Balkan / the Netherlands), and the energetic brass group King Naat Veliov & the Kočani Orkestar (the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia).

Programme

Film fans will have the chance to see some gems of Southeast European cinema, including Fatih Akın’s Crossing the Bridge (Turkey) and Aneta Lesnikovska’s Does it Hurt (the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia) and talk to Lesnikovska in person about her work.

In a special literary event, three of Southeast Europe’s internationally acclaimed writers – Dasa Drndić (Croatia), Perihan Mağden (Turkey) and Nenad Veličković (Bosnia and Herzegovina) – will come together for readings and what promises to be a highly stimulating open discussion.
